Am I the only one who associates fasting with religion or eating ABSOLUTELY nothing?

Okay okay, so I’ve been around the block on this healthy living journey. Most of it was me trying to figure out what works and most specifically if it will work for me.
Late last year I decided to try out intermittent fasting. I was tired of being overweight (what’s new) and figured I had no spare change so something simple and sustainable would be the best way to start and build from. More than anything though I hoped it would be something sustainable.
I truly believe that the weight loss process is a different ball game for oversized and obese women as compared to someone who has a couple of kilos to lose. I soon learnt that the game has to be conquered in the mental first and then the physical.
We so often neglect ourselves under the guise of being too busy or taking care of home or business or whatever excuse comes quickest to our minds. Over the years I have been so guilty of this, having my children was the main excuse I gave, and also being busy doing life and advancing myself through work and school.
